Having graduated from the Department of Commerce at Keio University, Japan, with a
major in Marketing, Kyouka Kanayama later studied Human Relations and served as
honorary member of the Board of Trustees at Cheon University, Republic of Korea,
where she was granted the title of an Honorary Doctor in Social Psychology.
During her activity as an art dealer in New York, she became a collector herself and has
been entrusted with the care of rare works of art by renowned artist such as Robert
Mapplethorpe and Andy Warhol.
In October 2004, Kyouka Kanayama produced the exhibition “Kyouka Kanayama’s
Aesthetic World”, a collaboration of “Aroma” and photographs from Robert
Mapplethorpe’s flower series.
She also participated in the exhibition as an installation artist.
Numerous uncommon and wondrous encounters with people during the many
hardships suffered during her life led Kyouka Kanayama to her own “rebirth”. Research
into Chinese medicine, Indian philosophy, vision psychology, hypnosis, psychotherapy
and aromatherapy combined with her deep involvement with the spiritual realm has
drawn her to develop her own unique style.
She presently performs aromatherapy with original “fragrances, color counseling and
healing seminars fro celebrities. Her vast experience comes into geat use as a marketing
advisor for the “Creation of the 21st Century”. |
